A landmark evening for FSB last night as our Remote Darts League project won the ‘Industry Innovation of the Year’ award at the SBC Awards.
This COVID-proof operation was as ambitious as it gets; the Remote Darts League involved setting up our own sportsbook event. We had to sign up the players to take part, figure out how we’d be able to broadcast it to a large audience, create pricing models and collect data to distribute to partners. This was no mean feat!
The Remote Darts League got going on Saturday April 18th and the initial event ran until the end of the month with England’s James Richardson the victor. Due to it’s popularity, RDL returned in late-May and early-June for a bigger and more global version of the tournament. Once again though, James Richardson triumphed.
Overall, Remote Darts League produced over 100 hours of sports betting content for our partners and was picked up by hundreds of betting sites around the world at a time when the industry was crying out for content. The SBC recognition makes all the hard work a lot sweeter.
